Isn’t it strange that nowadays a lot of people still claim that black metal is raw, primitive and nothing else? Moreover, they scandalize that this music is bound by standards, canonical and not interesting. Dear, look around… Nowadays, when the scene is filled with solo projects of the pitiful weaklings, bands like VALKYRJA are a real salvation to the mind and spirit! Angry, rough and scornful – real Swedish Black Metal.

Back then, when Norway and Finland were battling for the throne of the Black Metal, somewhere in the middle (…in Sweden…) diabolic happenings of the same magnitude were taking place. Everything unfolded into a state, which described a quality of the scene in a sense of music, sound and mystics. VALKYRJA confirms the latter: top-notch and top-black music, stylistically varied by a drop of “modernity”, as powerful as earthquake and as dark as a northern night.

Nonetheless, as the real warriors of Black Metal, VALKYRJA are not subjected to lots of self-praising, since it is the music that does the talking. “Metal Blade Records” was persuaded by this language enough and recently presented the second coming of VALKYRJA. Haven’t heard? Obey! …and your viewpoint on Black Metal will change.
