New at the DEVILSTONE: three stages and a broader musical range [JANUARY 19, 2012]
Music festival DEVILSTONE Open Air is traditionally taking place in the town of Anykščiai that had earned the title of Lithuanian Capital of Culture this year. The 4-day long festival is waiting for you for the fourth time on 12th – 15th of July.
Probably the most significant change of the 2012 festival is even three stages instead of two that were present last year. The festival is enlarging, therefore the number of artists that are going to perform in it is increasing and the range of musical genres is expanding. All three stages will be filled with musical performances so that the audience would have a possibility to choose what to listen to: from extreme metal, already well know to DEVILSTONE Open Air visitors, to softer, alternative melodies.
As usual, main stage of the festival will be dedicated to metal bands. Festival is going to introduce you to both well known representatives of these and other genres, as well as to young, promising performers of various extreme music from different European countries and from further lands alike.

The sounds of alternative rock, slightly softer, yet related to metal music, will be found in the second, additional stage. It will be dedicated to different, creative, artistic, experimental, crazy or dizzy live music. This will allow the listeners to choose between hard, extreme sound and fascinating musical performance. The number of bands in both stages will total about 30.
The third stage is the “Music Laboratory“ that made its debut in 2011 and since then is open to any musical experiments and improvisations by its visitors, as well as to educational lectures and competitions. This list of three stages may also be replenished with a the traditional „Rocktheque“ dance-floor, where old-school rock and its subgenres are going to be played.

Due to reconstruction of the Valley of Dainava and increased number of stages, the territory of the festival and its layout will change radically. Therefore, DEVILSTONE Open Air 2012 is going to welcome its guests differently pitched but as cosy and convenient for the devilish frenzy as it was before.
Festival tickets are sold from the 1st of February.
