HELLISH OUTCAST: We had a blast at DEVILSTONE 2011! Beautiful scenery, tasty beer and bloodsoaked meat! I'm left with only good memories from Lithuania...It was really nice to visit such a small, yet professional festival on our first trip abroad with Hellish Outcast! Thank you again for having us, we wish you all the best in the future!

HELLISH OUTCAST / Mads Lilletvedt: I must thank you all sooo much for the sheer kindness, the warm welcome and the professional quality of all parts of the festival! We managed to put on our first show abroad without any complications and I hope everyone was happy with our performance. We sit back with nothing but good memories and miss the awesome atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings already...

DEVILLE: Great festival, nice people, great organization and hospitality! Everything a band asks for! Cheers and thanks from Deville! See you soon again ;)
DEVILLE: Thank you everyone that came out to the show at VELNIO AKMUO | DEVILSTONE Open Air! You were a great crowd! Hope you enjoyed as much as we did!

DEVILLE / A.Bengtsson: Just want to thank you for a great festival and a great organisation! All the ppl were really friendly and took good care of us. Hope to be back one day, our show got good response i believe.

MUTANT / Paul Fulda:
We had a turbo-hyper-ultra-mega awesome time playing at Devilstone festival! There were so many positive things about the experience: the festival site was fantastic, swimming in the river was great, and the weather was a million times better than in the UK just for a start. We must give a huge thanks to the incredible "Minty" Raminta who was our host, she looked after us very well and always had a beer or cider ready just when we needed it most! The food was great, delicious meaty morsels at every turn... We really enjoyed the MusLab stages too, we actually ended up having a jam there and writing a couple of new songs the day after the festival! The show itself was really fun, with a really nice stage to run around on and good onstage sound. Looking back at some videos that were posted on youtube the sound out the front seems to have been pretty crushing too. I could probably go on forever about how much ass this festival kicked, but I should stop to keep it concise! Don't forget to check out the tree-top adventure course right next to the festival site, there is a zip-wire that goes over the river and it's really fun. Ah, and thanks to Tadas and everyone else who makes this festival happen! Thanks a lot!

SUSPERIA / Athera: We are very glad to have been invited to headline one of the days on Devilstone Festival! It is a young festival, but professional to the bone, and full of nice staff and excellent service. We had a very nice stay and a fantastic concert in front of very devoted, wonderful people! Awesome atmosphere, and a recommended festival to both go to and play at!

INQUISITION / Thomas "Incubus" Stevens: Thank you again for the VERY good treatment and your professional crew. Jason, Jose and I are still talking about how much of a great time we had in your wonderful country and Devilstone.

INQUISITION / Jose Costa: Congratulations!! On my behalf and Inquisition, would like to thank the festival crew, you were great: friendly, helpful and efficient. Location was beautiful, conditions were great, stage, sound & lights were excellent. Best wishes for next year, and hope to return very soon! Į sveikatą.

FORGOTTEN TOMB: The Devilstone 2011 has been an extremely interesting experience for FORGOTTEN TOMB. Having never been in Lithuania before, we didn't know what to expect from both the organization and the crowd, but we've been positively surprised by both! The whole crew was very kind and professional, their hospitality was really beyond expectations and we appreciated it very much. Same goes for the audience, the feedback during the show has been amazing and the Lithuanian fans supported us in a great way. Sound was very good both on stage and in the crowd, so I can easily say that all in all we would definitely repeat the experience!

FORGOTTEN TOMB / Herr Morbid: Thanx to everyone who was there and Hail Negativity!

FORGOTTEN TOMB / Algol Alex: Devilstone Festival rocks! We had such a great time over there, thanks both to the perfect, top notch organization and the great people we met. Hope to see you soon again, keep it loud!

FORGOTTEN TOMB / Nihil Productions: Thanks on behalf of the band for the great experience they had at Devilstone. I got really good words for your organization from F.T.

DECADENCE: DECADENCE thanks everyone involved in making Devilstone Open Air happen and to all the great people that we met there and that supported us on our show. Horns up!

SAVAGE MESSIAH / David Silver: I'd like to extend a massive thank you from myself and the band for letting us play at Devil Stone, we had a fantastic time, and it was awesome to sample a little bit of Lithuania also.

IN MOURNING / Björn Pettersson: Just wanted to let you know we had a great time in Lithuania and at your festival. If you'd ever be interested in working together some other time, just let me know!

OCTOBER TIDE: I heard from the OT guys that the festival was a success and they really enjoyed their stay! Great, thanx! :)

Organizer‘s response:

All four days of the festival elapsed like a blink of an eye which made us realise that at least ten months of hard work were required to make that tiny blink of an eye possible. On the other hand, if it happened for three times already, it might do the fourth as well – it seems that we enjoy doing it.

And how could we not enjoy it if we can finally admit to ourselves that the festival is truly getting mature and DEVILSTONE Open Air 2011 was so far the most successful and probably the best one during its short history. This festival was also the most tiring one, really tiring. Considering both organizational and realization matters. That is the price which was paid for this superb weekend!

We would like to thank all the partners, sponsors and friends of the festival. Thank You. You are the ones who made all this be possible. If it wasn‘t for you, many things would have gone the wrong way.

We also bow down and give thanks to the Anykščiai district municipality and its authorities for their assistance, support and understanding. You are the best! 
At least three times thank you to the Embassy of Norway in Lithuania, ‘Playboy‘ magazine and ‘Tauras‘ beer.

Of course, we‘d like to express our gratitude for our friends, companions, volunteers, the whole team. And we send best wishes to the audience – we will be waiting for you to return next year! ;)

Facts and informal statistics of the festival:

The first participants appeared: Wednesday afternoon
The weather: very warm, yet not scorching; some rain as well
The total number of people (audience, performers, partners, team, etc.): more than 2200.
Football: the trophy of the Devil Stone had remained in Anykščiai. The local team ‘Taifūnas‘ triumphed on the Saturday match. The leader of the team, Dainius, when asked was it difficult to win, replied in a simple phrase: ‘There was nobody to play against‘.
Beer drunk: much more than last year.
Water drunk: approximately as much as the last year. It wasn‘t boiling hot, therefore the consumption of water had decreased.
Thursday: the unofficial opening of the festival had attracted nearly 500 people.
The crowning moment – a dynamic performace of STIFFER during the rain. The surprise – party with HELLISH OUTCAST in the MuzLab together with audience until the nighttime.
Another surprise: the prolonged party by HELLISH OUTCAST together with the local high-school graduates in a hotel, celebrating their prom until the dawn.
MC Growl [live]: having debuted the previous year, this unique entertainment of the festival just exploded this year with help of the band NAHUM. The grand finale was extremely tough: the culmination took place when Jonas (The Banana) and Rokas crossed their swords. Rokas, who had appeared to be more charismatic, was awarded with a brand new guitar. A noteworthy fact is that two girls have participated in MC Growl battles. Awesome!!
Other girls: many gorgeous ladies
Audience: very various and colourful. From men with suits to ‘soldiers‘ with toy guns.
MuzLab: the discovery and success of the festival.
Grok ir Kriok (Play and Growl): everybody who knew how to play an instrument, did so. Everyone who could growl, did it. The action never stopped.
Nighttime cinema: lots of erotica, many crazy cartoons and spectators of them. ‘Trys dienos‘(‘Three Days‘) was awesome!!!
Splash!: everybody enjoyed the river. The lounge seats were constantly occupied. If we don‘t get them next year, it‘s going to be really bad.
Guesthouse: absolutely full.
Festival merchandise sold: 80%
Who had the shortest night sleep: the magical tea stall. They were the real saviours at 5 AM in the mourning.
Media representatives in the festival: more than thirty.
DEVILSTONE Open Air drums: the record of this year – 575 bpm. Not bad. The winner – Avenged.
Festival catchphrase/slogan: Feelings – love – metal.
Rocktheque: less underground, more well-known names and songs, but at the same time a lot more people dancing on the rocktheque stage. P.S. members of INQUISITION who partied there on Saturday predawn admitted that never before in their lives had they danced and stomped this hard. How cool is that?
Boobs Show: oh boy, it was ultra great this year. For the first time in the history of the festival the girls took their  t-shirts off... We‘re even thinking about building a dancing pole the following year...
The banner: Jausmai (Feelings)
The flag: first year it was the Latvian flag, last year – Norwegian. This year the Estonians took over.
Bruce Lee: who has seen Bruce?
Bare-ass: ONE...
Black metal: the most attacked genre of metal in the city of Anykščiai.
Circus: the circus is continuing...
SuperVolunteers: a total dream team
The biggest misunderstanding: kitchen and tourist knives confiscated by the security staff. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
The largest attention attractions: BENEDICTION, FORGOTTEN TOMB, SUSPERIA.
Drove everybody crazy: INQUISITION.
Discovery: DEVILLE.
The largest disappointment: people who explicitly and obsessively demonstrate their political ideology during the festival. Why? What against? We don‘t understand.
The most successful thing during the festival: the solid and flawless teamwork. Just the way it was last year. Yes!
The least successful thing before the festival: the departure of ALCEST.
Petrol consumption: ohhh my, the numbers are scary.
Sunday: MUTANT improvising live was something amazing.
LIFELOVER: they were also on the MuzLab stage live...
Constant lack of: bicycles. We are always short of bicycles. And one of them was also somehow wrecked by a member of BENEDICTION.
Played what the audience had told them to: OBTEST.
Adornment of the festival: ladies from MUSCAT.
The biggest acknowledgement: goes to the sponsors and partners of the festival, MuzLab team, music house ‘Skrabalas‘, SuperVolunteers, ‘Džiazo galerija‘, ‘Arbatos magija‘ and everyone who helps to carry DEVILSTONE together.
Fact: the organizational team is too small. We need some new blood :)
