Dark / Rock / Post / THE NETHERLANDS
There’s a ray of light even in the darkest of nights – that’s what the members of GOLD believe in. They call their music gloomy and painfully emotional; even though it is rather melancholic, it brings hope and tears down walls between personalities and opinions. A lot of social topics are present in GOLD’s lyrics, which contributes to the overall feel of their music.
In their latest releases, GOLD has crystallised their identity which is a mash-up of various genres, bringing a breeze of fresh air into the stale atmosphere. Their work is often labelled as dark rock but that says too little about them. Unafraid to try out new things, GOLD includes sharp metallic chords and anarchist punk rhythms in their sound, topping it off with some modern post- trends. This seems to be the golden mean, appealing to musicians, media, and even professional wrestlers.
